My 2020 Thanksgiving color picks, decor, and how I got into the spirit early

INSPIRATION, LIFESTYLE, & WELLNESS

Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday and another thing, we have something in common...we are middle children!

Ok. One is an event and one is person but try and get into the metaphor for me. While I love the fun and costumes centered around Halloween and the spirit of Christmas, Thanksgiving is still my favorite when it comes to most things. But, the attention factor for decor is just too slim pickings for me. Here's how I like bring it into the home and ring it in early!

PICK A FALL COLOR SCHEME THAT YOU ARE CRAZY ABOUT FOR A ROOM MAKEOVER

The colors. The deep rich colors of reds and cozy earth tones makes it all come together. So, this year I decided to fall into Thanksgiving a little early by picking one of my favorite cozy color schemes and for my studio room makeover...Here are the four colors I selected for the studio. I plan to paint walls and furniture and some accents!

DECIDE WHAT AREAS IN YOUR HOME YOU WANT TO DECORATE FOR THANKSGIVING AND INCORPORATE YOUR NEW COLOR SCHEME

"Based on your budget you could go one room, all rooms, or even just a tables cape or console. I suggest definitely starting with an area that you will pass by multiple times a day. So this year I focused on a table accent that I enjoy making for a Thanksgiving theme dining room. This centerpiece that I made has all the cozy fall colors!"

SET A TABLESCAPE EARLY

With everything going on around us in our present day, setting a table scape for yourself for loved ones early or mid-month, may be a method to some of the madness. It should be in spot that you walk past everyday. For me since we are staying in a lot, I wanted to bring some outside elements indoor! Here's how I did it and how it turned out.

MAKE A THANKSGIVING INSPIRED SNACK TRAY

I love the food pairings in a Thanksgiving meal. It's the most vintage meal of the year. The pairings never sway. Even, if I'm not at my grandparents house, eating my grandmother's cornbread dressing and macaroni & cheese, to name a few, I am still somewhere away smiling down thinking about it, feeling like I can taste it. The snacks may include turkey jerky in at least three varieties, sweet potato chips, glazed pecans, dried cranberries, celery sticks, creamy dressing, sour cream and onion potato chips, green pea chips, and green bean chips. It's all about your preference and your family taste buds, but keep it vintage!

MAKE SOME OF YOUR FAVORITE HOLIDAY APPETIZERS OR

HORS D'OEUVRES THROUHOUT NOVEMBER

Hors d' oeuvres, snacks, or appetizers?! Deviled eggs can really go either way. They are an all time favorite of mine. My mom started me making these early. But, I do believe that less is more when making these babies. Unless, you're like The Chop House and to add some bacon crumble! Any time I can find a way to spice it up a little, I do just that. Here I throw in a jalapeno dices with the sweet relish for a for kick.
