A mommy and me outfit coordinated for a quick photo opt

MOMMY AND ME MOMENTS

One thing that I love as a creative, is when you're in the middle of your creativity and something old and something new comes together. That's what happened the day I planned to take some pictures at home with my little one. Her dress was new....my pieces had been here before!

The day of the election results I just so happened to be set for a Thanksgiving inspiration shoot for the blog. My little one was set to be in it as well. I initially knew I would be going with my blog colors or the clothes, so I went through options.

I remember initially picking a tutu because I wanted a picture cozy for the holiday sitting in from of the fireplace. The options for tutus were pink and a beautiful blue. Of course, I went with the pink! My daughter has a lot of fall dresses that had never been worn. So here was the perfect opportunity to wear one.

If you ever shop in Belk for your kids, or girls, my opinion is that they have one of the best selections for clothes for babies with the best details. I'm so about details as a designer! The dress that the baby is wearing has a nice soft boucle type texture top half and the bottom has trim and flower prints accompanied by a brioche flower at the waist. How dynamic!

My color pick with the white studded round neck worked well for the closeup photo. The fireplace backdrop did not work out so well that day for lighting, so I went with outside. The pink tutu was just a must and the baby's dress brought one more complimenting color, brown. I am never mad at the vintage feel of browns. So cheers to this brown, pink, and white color scheme for our election results day photoshoot!
