T. Nicole

Hi! I'm T. Nicole, a designer, drafter, blogger, educator, & super shopper, who loves to create multi-functional environments. In taking a classic and unique approach to design, I am known for using therapeutic colors, patterns, vintage finds, and clean modern work.
Writing, journaling, blogging, crafting, DIY'ng, and educating are my passions. I'm also a lil' techie. As a designer, I contribute my success to being multi-layered from my experiences. I'm a city girl raised in the south who met and chose the "Peace of Country" to live. Connecting to nature and landscapes, honoring history and architecture, and pushing the limits in building arts are just more facets to my approach.
I received my Bachelors of Arts in Interior Design. I also have academic training in architectural design. My other training includes graphic design, set design and staging, decorating, and makeup artistry. I received my Masters of Arts in Teaching to become a certified educator. My classes include several Career, Technology, Agriculture, and Engineering/STEM courses for high school students pursuing post-secondary Design or Engineering Careers and college courses. I am a former CTAE/Family and Consumer Sciences 'Home Economics' high school teacher and Engineering Technology/Drafting Design high school teacher. Now, I currently serve as Department Chair and Instructor for the Architectural & Engineering Drafting Technology for the design program at a technical college.
I most love that my career has become an ode to my maternal and paternal grandfathers. One was Architectural Drafting, Design, and Construction entrepreneur & educator, and the other was a founder of an upholstery company that still runs today.
Thanks for joining me here as we explore the versatility of the built world.
~love & light, Designhangover
